About Us

Katie Beatty has a decade of experience in editing works of fiction and non-fiction in the newspaper industry, as well as on a freelance basis for burgeoning novelists. Additionally, she studied at Emerson College, graduating with a degree from the college’s Writing, Literature, and Publishing program. She particularly enjoys editing fiction for adults, young adults, and middle grade readers in genres including fantasy, dystopian literature, crime thrillers, and mysteries. 

Mike McCartney, Circulation Supervisor at the Eldredge Public Library, is an award-winning teacher. For twenty years, he has examined, told, and written stories to classes and audiences around the world. In addition to studying at the Oxford Center for Fantasy, he is also an alumnus of the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. He has written a variety of fiction, including short stories, historical fantasy, and children's literature.
